Classical Sundays
Introduction and Vision
Beginning 2026 season, we are opening a new chapter at Meyhouse Jazz—one dedicated to classical music in a way that feels intimate, warm, and genuinely accessible.
For many who love classical music, the choices have remained the same for decades: listening at home, the occasional house concert if you are fortunate, or planning a full evening at a large concert hall—driving, parking, walking into a grand space with thousands of people. Beautiful, yes, but also formal, distant, and not always within reach.
We believe there’s room for something different.

Classical Sundays is a new format created to bring listeners closer to the music. A small room with impeccable sound. A relaxed atmosphere. A chance to enjoy an evening of exceptional food followed by a focused, intimate performance by a small ensemble—piano, violin, cello, flute—just a few feet away.

Your evening begins at 5:00pm with a prix-fixe dinner prepared by the Meyhouse team. Service ends and the tables are cleared by 7:00pm sharp. Then the room transforms, lights soften, and the performance begins. It will be in two parts with a short intermission in between, designed to be heard with full attention and no service interruptions.

This is not the traditional classical experience, nor is it a replication of our jazz format. It’s something new—closer, calmer, more personal—built for listeners who want depth without the formality.

Classical Sundays will begin in Palo Alto and will expand to our new San Ramon location when it opens . Seating will be limited to 30 guests in Palo Alto.
Since this is an experimental series, we will learn and adapt to provide an exceptional experience. We will listen to your feedback and improve as always.
