This program takes listeners on a journey where dance gradually transforms into fantasy.
From the elegant Baroque dances of J. S. Bach, to the charming folk-inspired dances of Schubert, to Chopin’s noble and dignified Polonaise transformed into a fantasy, and finally to the poetic inner world of Robert Schumann, the program explores how dance can become imagination, memory, and dream.
