Doors: 5 pm Show: 6:30 pm Internationally acclaimed vocalist and pianist Dena DeRose presents a special trio performance at Meyhouse Jazz with bassist Peter Barshay and legendary drummer Akira Tana.
Known for her warm, swinging vocals, expressive piano playing, and joyful stage presence, Dena has built a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years and over 25 recordings. Her work has earned consistent critical acclaim, including four-star reviews and a featured “Hot Box” review in DownBeat Magazine.
Her long-awaited new album, Mellow Tones, is her fourth release for HighNote Records and features longtime collaborators Martin Wind and Matt Wilson, with special guest trombonist Ed Neumeister.
