LehCats, the New York-based jazz fusion ensemble co-led by saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist Norbert Stachel and flutist/vocalist Karen Stachel, brings a global sound shaped by jazz, Latin, funk, and world music traditions. The band’s name—Stachel spelled backwards—is a nod to their inventive spirit and commitment to musical evolution.
With previous performances at SFJAZZ, Yoshi’s, Smalls, The Iridium, and international festivals across the U.S., Europe, and Hawaii, LehCats has built a reputation for their intricate compositions, high-energy live shows, and powerful messages of unity and cultural celebration.
