Multi-award-winning British jazz vocalist Claire Martin joins acclaimed pianist Tamir Hendelman for an intimate celebration of the legendary singers who have inspired her throughout her distinguished three-decade career.
An eight-time winner of the British Jazz Award for Best Vocalist, Claire Martin is widely regarded as one of the leading jazz singers of her generation. Drawing from the Great American Songbook and beyond, she pays tribute to some of jazz singing’s most distinctive voices, including Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, and Anita O’Day.
Through elegant and deeply personal interpretations of beloved standards, Claire and Tamir explore the artistry, individuality, and enduring influence of these iconic performers. The evening will feature timeless songs by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Richard Rodgers, and more, woven together with stories and reflections from Claire’s remarkable life in jazz.
