Join us for an unforgettable evening of Afro-Cuban jazz and traditional Cuban music as guitarist Kai Lyons leads an extraordinary quartet of master musicians steeped in the soul and rhythm of Cuba. This performance blends fiery improvisation, infectious grooves, and lyrical melodies that honor Cuba’s deep musical traditions while infusing them with fresh energy and modern jazz language.
Featuring:
Kai Lyons – A San Francisco native and frequent collaborator with Cuban masters, Kai brings authenticity, groove, and a deep knowledge of Cuban son, timba, and jazz.
John Calloway – A veteran flutist, composer, and Afro-Caribbean scholar, John brings his elegant tone and deep cultural insight to every phrase.
