Show: 8:30 PM Two-time GRAMMY Award-winning violinist Mads Tolling returns to Meyhouse with an exceptional trio featuring acclaimed jazz vocalist Kenny Washington and pianist John R. Burr.
Born and raised in Denmark, Tolling studied at Berklee College of Music before being discovered by legendary jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. He went on to perform with Stanley Clarke, the Turtle Island Quartet, and more recently Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, appearing at venues including Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks, and the Hollywood Bowl. His recordings have also been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition and in The Washington Post.
For this special evening, Tolling reunites with longtime collaborator John R. Burr for selections from their album Ramblin’, moving effortlessly from Lennon/McCartney and John McLaughlin to original compositions.
