About the event
Meyhouse Jazz is delighted to present an evening devoted to the golden era of American songwriting as celebrated vocalist Clairdee brings her unmistakable voice and presence to the music of Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin—three composers whose songs defined Broadway, Hollywood, and the very language of jazz.
Known for her warmth, clarity, and emotional honesty, Clairdee is a master storyteller. Her interpretations honor the original spirit of these songs while revealing new depth and nuance—whether in a tender ballad or a swinging classic. Few singers embody the sophistication and joy of the Great American Songbook with such ease and authority.
She is joined by two exceptional musicians:
Michael O’Neill on saxophone, whose lyrical phrasing and elegant tone add richness and color to every melody,
Ken French on piano, providing tasteful, swinging accompaniment with sensitivity and style.
Together, the trio explores beloved standards and hidden gems alike—songs of romance, wit, longing, and hope—bringing them vividly…
