Acclaimed pianist Tamir Hendelman leads his trio in a lyrical, deeply swinging celebration of Bill Evans, exploring beloved compositions and standards associated with one of jazz’s most influential pianists.
Joined by bassist Sam Bevan and drummer Lorca Hart, Hendelman brings fresh perspective to the music while honoring the distinctive trio approach that helped reshape modern jazz. Rather than recreating classic recordings, the trio explores the music through its own dynamic interplay and musical chemistry.
The program features Bill Evans compositions including Waltz for Debby, Very Early, Turn Out the Stars and Time Remembered, alongside standards closely associated with his trios such as My Foolish Heart, Nardis, Emily and Alice in Wonderland.
