Three distinct guitar voices come together for an evening of high-energy interplay and cross-genre exploration.
The SF ⇌ NY Guitar Trio brings together acoustic nylon, steel-string, and archtop guitars in a program shaped by improvisation, rhythm, and contrast. Drawing from the legacy of McLaughlin, Di Meola, and De Lucia, the trio moves fluidly between flamenco, jazz, and gypsy traditions—while weaving in elements of rock, pop, and contemporary sound.
The program includes reimagined takes on works such as Chick Corea’s Spain and Tom Petty’s Breakdown, alongside original compositions by the trio—each piece opening space for dialogue, spontaneity, and individual voice. Alex Skolnick
