Jackie Ryan sings some of her favorite songs from Brazil — many in Portuguese, because it is, indeed, the language of love! The program will feature songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim and many other great Brazilian composers, including Ivan Lins.
She will also be singing her favorite ballads from the Great American Songbook (some gems that are rarely heard!), along with great blues and blues-inspired jazz songs.
Blending the romance and warmth of Brazilian music with timeless American ballads and the soulful spirit of the blues, Bossas, Ballads, and Blues! offers an intimate evening highlighting Jackie Ryan’s expressive storytelling and wide-ranging musical style.
