Alaska-raised and New York City-based, Hilary Gardner leads The Lonesome Pines, a genre-blending ensemble that paints vivid soundscapes inspired by the great American West. Their debut album On the Trail with The Lonesome Pines (Anzic Records), produced by Eli Wolf (Norah Jones, Willie Nelson), has garnered critical acclaim and won the 2025 Western Heritage Award for Best Traditional Western Album. The record was also named Best New Vinyl Release of 2024 by Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity and listed at #7 on The Times U.K.’s 20 Best Jazz Albums of 2024.
