Celebrate the arrival of spring with the Roger Glenn Latin Jazz Quartet at Meyhouse Jazz—an evening shaped by the musical languages of the Americas. A dynamic voice on vibraphone, flute, and saxophone, Roger Glenn leads an ensemble rooted in rhythmic depth and melodic clarity.
Joining him are acclaimed Brazilian composer and producer Marcos Silva on piano, Robb Fisher on bass, and drummer Kelly Zaban Fasman—a quartet whose collective sound bridges Afro-Cuban traditions, Brazilian harmony, Argentine tango, and modern jazz expression.
The program features selections from Glenn’s recent recording My Latin Heart (2025), alongside Silva originals and reimagined standards. Rich in texture and rhythmic interplay, the music unfolds with warmth, swing, and openness—each piece shaped in the moment through deep listening and shared energy.
In our intimate setting, the conversation between melody and rhythm can be felt just a few feet away. Grounded in tradition, the quartet plays with openness and ease.
